Today's discussion is about firsts. In our article about the 10 most important Windows Phones before, several readers waxed nostalgic about devices gone by. For my part, the first Windows Phone device for me was the Lumia 620. I've written enough words about it in the past that writing more here would feel like over overselling what was just a perfectly adequate device.
I'm aware many of our readers here would have a much richer appreciation of Windows on a phone, seeing as we're called "Windows Mobile Power User", I have no doubt that some people here started out using Windows Mobile devices which I only had a passing interest in.
In terms of modern devices, the HTC HD7, Samsung Omnia, Lumia 800 may have been jumping on points for several of our readers in the past. Be it the customizability of Windows Mobile, the interface and potential of Windows Phone 7, the high-end cameras in Windows Phone 8, or the midrangers and relatively powerful OS of 8.1, each one of our readers here has a different reason for being here.
