After the successful launch of Windows 10, the mobile version of Microsoft's new software is the next big thing users are looking forward to getting a hold of. The Redmond based company, however, has yet to reveal when the highly-anticipated OS is coming.
Although there's no information about the launch at hand at the moment, Microsoft did mention which handsets will get the first taste of the much-awaited Windows 10 Mobile when it makes its big entrance. The devices are as follows:
As pointed out by Phone Arena, the Lumia 1520 is oddly missing from the list. Also, devices such as the lower-end Lumia 520 as well as the Lumia 630 and 635 aren't getting Windows 10 as early as those devices. The site, however, trusts that if Microsoft will update every Windows phone eventually, the device, whether it has lower specs than others, should be able to upgrade to Windows 10 regardless.
The tech firm has already said via Lumia Conversations, "Our goal is for the majority of the Lumia phones running Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 to join the Windows ecosystem along with an expected hundreds of millions of PCs, tablets and other devices running the next generation of Windows."
Microsoft, however, is still mum about when Windows 10 Mobile will actually trickle in on the aforementioned devices. It looks like it also isn't ready to determine a time frame.
As far as features go, Microsoft said back in January in the same Lumia Conversations blog, "Like any upgrade to a new platform, not every phone will upgrade or support all possible Windows 10 features, and certain features and experiences will require more advanced future hardware."
