Lead by the charismatic Satya Nadella as efficiently as Steve Ballmer and the legendary Bill Gates before him, Microsoft has been one of the biggest names in the world of technology for the past 41 years.
The company started off in 1974, and has been dominating the markets with their grip over the world of software technology.
When one tends to take a closer look, this domination comes from the fact that Microsoft has been the creator of the Windows Operating System, which has been helping them grow stronger with every passing second.
The release of the latest version of the Windows OS, the Windows 10 was a global celebration! Microsoft, with the release of the Windows 10 OS has managed to create major goodwill for themselves in the markets.
Microsoft, after dominating the software markets, has now been working hard to break through into the hardware business. With the acquisition of the Nokia mobile phone unit, Microsoft Mobiles has become a much stronger brand than ever, at least on paper.
The company has been gaining a major edge into the markets, and they have been releasing several new phones.
However, all of this comes after a major setback that they suffered a few months ago, when financial reports stated that Microsoft has bled out close to $8 Billion USD, and has lost out nearly 8000 employees over the Nokia deal.
The company stayed strong and has released two new phones which are expected to help them power through these tough times – the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL, which are the new 'flagship' phones for Microsoft Mobiles.
Both, The Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL released on the 20th of November, and they come with similar features, with fine differences. Both the phones come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage.
The storage can be expanded to 200GB. Microsoft's latest phones both come with a 20MP camera along with a 5MP front camera. Both the phones feature triple LED flash and a dedicated camera button.
The phones both feature USB C connectivity as well as 4G LTE networks.
They come with fast charging support and a brand new 'liquid cooling' technology which help keep the chipsets cool.
The difference can be seen when you take a closer look.
The XL variant comes with a 5.7 inched screen while the Lumia 950 comes with a 5.2 inched screens.
To support this larger screen, the XL also comes with a larger battery at 3340mAh when compared to the 3000mAh battery of the Lumia 950.
The Lumia 950 comes with a Snapdragon 808, while the Lumia 950 XL comes with a stronger, Lumia 810 SoC. The 950 is priced in at $549 while the XL comes in at $649.
