The Elite x3 uses Windows 10's Continuum feature to allow users to bridge their work across any devices that are running Windows 10.

This was echoed by several other industry analysts who were around to see the phablet being unveiled and they pointed towards the features of the device as being close to that of a computer. Some reports have claimed that Microsoft is getting ready to launch the Surface Phone sometime halfway through 2016.

For example, the PowerPoint version of Windows 10 Mobile has a new feature that allows users to pin files to Start. That might not be the case with the Surface Phone if it inherits the superb build quality that the Surface lineup has already come to be acclaimed for. It's a powerful Windows flagship smartphone that would be a worthy upgrade coming from a previous Windows smartphone. It is expected that Microsoft could be going back to Intel besides Qualcomm for the Surface phone. The company is said to be using an Atom processor that was released in 2015.

The new build also contains one new feature - the addition of Visual Voicemail for dual-SIM devices, such as the dual-SIM Lumia 950 XL. The Surface Phone could come in two variants - one with the Intel Atom X3 processor and one with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.

Additionally, the phablet has a large 5.96-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and a density of 492 pixels per inch. Based on some recent reports, the update should be finalized in the next two months.

The Elite x3 runs Microsoft Windows 10 and is also equipped with a 16-megapixel full HD rear-facing camera, an 8MP full HD front-facing camera, and 4G LTE, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
