The Windows 10 Mobile rollout is a major screwup. Unlike its predecessors, Windows 10 Mobile shares a lot with the Windows 10 PC systems, potentially giving the mobile users a perfect solution for their mobile demands.
Microsoft's market share has been drastically falling, and this update is expected to help them retain their customers, if not gain new ones.
Still, the Windows OS maker hasn't mentioned a thing about when the Windows 10 update will specifically hit the listed Lumia devices. Microsoft had also promised to support all Lumias that arrived since Windows Phone 8's debut, but, when the rollout finally started, only a limited number of smartphones were targeted.

It includes: Lumia 1520, Lumia 930, Lumia 830, Lumia 735, Lumia 730, Lumia 640, Lumia 640XL, Lumia 638 1GB, Lumia 636 1GB, Lumia 635 1GB, Lumia 540, Lumia 535, Lumia 532, Lumia 435, and Lumia 430.
"In January 2015, Microsoft said it would aim to support 'the majority of Lumia phone running Windows 8 and 8.1, ' but six months later said the upgrade would only extend to devices running the latest Lumia Denim software", it said.
However, what is worth noting here is that many popular names are missing from the list, including one of their highest selling devices, the Lumia 520. "Our goal is to only offer the Windows 10 upgrade to devices that we are confident can continue to deliver a good customer experience." .
