Windows 10 Mobile OTA Update Seems to be Almost Here

In a major setback to Microsoft's ongoing efforts, HERE Maps has announced that it will no longer support Windows 10 platform. Some features that are available on iOS and Android, such as GIF support, is not yet offered to Windows 10 or Windows 10 Mobile users. That's prompted a growing discontent among some Windows fan sites, who have noted that Windows 10 Mobile was announced in January 2015, but has taken more than a year (and counting) to be deployed to Microsoft's existing base of Lumia phones, as well third-party Windows Phones like the HTC One M8. It also recently added 3D Touch support to its maps to deliver an advanced experience on the latest iPhone models. Today, this changes, as an official app comes to Microsoft's struggling mobile platform. As per a "briefed individual", Microsoft is only going to confirm the specific Lumia- an d Nokia-branded handsets which have been approved for this update in its announcement tomorrow, March 17th.
The launch will put to rest months of delays and troubles for Microsoft as it looks to complete its dream of having a billion devices running Windows 10.
