Angry Chinese, Offered Win 10 Opt Out Deal But Not In OZ

That all sounds great, but it's sadly years too late to matter.

At one point, some PC owners complained, Microsoft began sending on-screen messages prompting them to download and install Windows 10. Back when Nokia was in charge of Lumia phones, it released the app, which offers users an offline guide for its phones, under the Nokia Care label.

Then there's the fact that Microsoft didn't push OEM's to use Windows Phone in lower-end smartphones.

The market research company Gartner recently reported that while smart phone sales had increased by almost 4 percent in first quarter this year, Microsoft's Windows Phone saw its share of the market shrink below 1 percent.

Previously if a path name went over the limit, the file became inaccessible until you could shorten it.

Kelly asked Microsoft for comment, but the company didn't quite explain the reasoning for the X button's revised functionality.

Microsoft also makes more money from Windows 10 features that increase usage of Bing, the company's ad-supported search engine.

While we're here patiently waiting for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, it is abundantly clear that ti me is near due to the lack of exciting features in the newest Insider update. Since the second quarter of 2012, Windows Phone has not seen their market share go above 5%.

Problems with Windows 10 are usually because of user error, but not because a user installed the system wrong.

Limited Period Scanning: This new Windows 10 feature will automatically turn on when an antivirus program other than Windows Defender is working. Why would we want to use Win 10 with more ads?
