Facebook, Messenger, Instagram apps debut on Windows 10

The day, however, has finally arrived as Facebook finally unleashes official Windows 10 versions of its apps, including Facebook, Messenger, and yes, finally, Instagram.

Meanwhile, the Messenger for Windows 10 has features, including stickers, group conversations, and GIFs. The benefits of making these Facebook apps on Windows 10 is to ensure that their users go directly to their site - with no temptations to browse anywhere else, says a report from TechnoBuffalo. And also come with number of new features such as live tiles, Direct Messaging, updated Search and Explore, Videos and Account Switching.

It is now easy to share photos to Facebook straight from apps or File Explorer.

The new Facebook app for the Windows 10 has reactions, stickers in comments and a column for birthdays and event reminders - all similar to the iOS and Android versions. There is also desktop notification and a live tile to find out what your friends are up to. And they might be, if you're jazzed about the Windows 10 interface and would prefer using a version of Facebook that includes Microsoft's "Live Tiles", which display app notifications. When Facebook announced that it was "all-in" with Windows 10 and would produce apps for its services on Windows 10m there was a certain expectation of quality for those apps. The Facebook App is available for Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 computers, and the Messenger App is available for Windows 8, 8.1, 10, and eventually Windows 10 Mobile devices.

Although the beta tag no longer shows with the app, the webpage link for the app in the Windows Store still shows the beta tag.

From now Facebook users will see ads on their messengers.

Instagram has been on Windows Phone since 2013, but as a beta that lacked video support, so today's release brings the Windows 10 app more in line with rival OSes.

The Facebook app that made its way to the Windows Store during the Windows 8 days and the one made for Windows Phone 7 have suffered the same fate, without support for numerous latest features that have made their way to the social network. Recently, the company's founder, Mark Zuckerberg said users now spend on average more than 50 minutes a day using the combination of Facebook, Messenger and Instagram. 900+ million people globally use Messenger every single month, and we want to deliver them the news. Facebook is one of largest social media Network. By pinning the app to the home screen, users will see notifications and update.
