According to a tweet posted by the official Spanish account of Lumia support brought hope that Snapchat would arrive on Windows phones sometime in the future. The post also unveiled that for developing such a client, Microsoft was working on Snapchat.
Yet, in actual terms, everyone was still skeptical regarding theSnapchat that would be building an app for Windows phones because it wasn't the first time when Microsoft's social accounts posted information which wasn't considered true particularly after banning all third-party apps on platform by the company and failed to offer that an official client would be developed.
So far, nothing has changed regarding Microsoft's official position for a Snapchat app and the company remains completely tight-lipped on chances to see the enthusiastically-expected client launching on Windows phones,a statement provided.
A company spokesperson said that we've seen great momentum around the Windows Store and Apps. We continue to work with industry leading partners to bring the best experiences to Windows for a broad set of categories, including entertainment, productivity, and gaming. We have nothing further to share.
A few hours ago, the head of the Windows Insider program,Dona Sarkar in a tweet has said that she never heard of such a plan to bring Snapchat on Windows Phone because much space is left for rumours with the statement of company spokesperson. However,Windows Phone might actually be seen by some optimistic users as a sign that Snapchat is coming to their platform.
When asked regarding theSnapchat whether it could land on Windows Phone in case the tweet posted by the Spanish account of Lumia support was accurate, she said "News to me".
Getting Snapchat on Windows phones could really be a big step towards actually addressing the lack of apps on the platform, but the chances to see it happening are rare and dropping with every day to come. It is still awaited for a statement that would set things clear in this adventure; yet, don't live with high hopes that Snapchat will launch on Windows phones.
