#HPEliteX3 #WindowsMobile – Newest firmware makes the HP Elite X3 a significantly higher-performance Windows 10 Mobile device : Just yesterday we reported that the HP Elite x3 was getting a major firmware update, and it seems like that update may have made a significant difference.
Reported by Windows Central, benchmarks of the HP Elite x3 after the firmware was installed show that there's a very visible difference. The benchmarks were conducted using the AnTuTu app, and compared the post-firmware HP Elite x3 with the pre-firmware HP Elite x3 and the Lumia 950 XL.
Here are Windows Central's benchmark results:
The difference is very easy to see in the benchmark, especially when you compare the Lumia 950 XL to the post-firmware HP Elite x3. Even compared to its pre-firmware version, the x3 is performing rather well. When using the phone, differences can be seen when you're scrolling through pages or just trying to open up apps like Skype. Everything runs noticeably quicker.
On top of general performance improvements that affect the HP Elite x3's speed, there are also a number of bug fixes that Windows Central reported. Most notably, the problem that made the camera crash half of the time has been mostly fixed, although you may still encounter some instability if you fiddle with it in just the right (or wrong) way. The camera is also more responsive, so all of you would-be photographers shouldn't have many serious gripes if you decide to pick up the HP Elite x3.
The HP Elite x3 starts at $799 if you were looking to scoop one up in the near future, and the improvements made in this firmware are probably a good reason to consider doing that. This phone has had sort of a rocky launch, so it's natural to expect some growing pains as it launches. Source: winbeta
