#Windows10Mobile #Microsoft – Another Bank Shows Some Love for Windows Phones, Promises Wallet Support : Chase Bank has confirmed on Twitter that support for Microsoft Wallet is on its way and it should be ready sometime next year if everything goes according to the plan.
No other details were provided, but Chase could align the release of support for Microsoft Wallet with the introduction of Windows 10 Redstone 2, a major update that will be launched to mobile devices as well.
Right now, Microsoft Wallet works with several US banks, including Bank of America, PNC Bank, People's United Bank, and US Bank, and Chase is already listed as "coming soon" on Microsoft's official website.
"Already working with largest US banks"
Microsoft Wallet is a digital payment solution that makes it possible to securely store credit card information and initiate payments at a wide array of retailers in the United States.
"With Microsoft Wallet, you simply tap your phone on a contactless payment terminal, and your default credit or debit card is charged. Store as many credit and debit cards as you want in your Microsoft Wallet so it's easy to make purchases with the card of your choice. Want to change cards? Switching takes just a tap of your finger," Microsoft explains.
Unfortunately, Microsoft Wallet works only with a bunch of Windows 10 Mobile devices, such as the flagships Lumia 950 and 950 XL. With Microsoft planning the demise of the Lumia brand, it remains to be seen how Microsoft Wallet adoption is going to improve, especially because the eagerly-anticipated Surface Phone might take longer before it reaches the market.
Windows 10 Redstone 2 is projected to launch in the spring of next year and with a little luck, Chase Bank could add support for Microsoft Wallet at the same time. Source: softpedia
