Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 release date: New device to arrive alongside Surface Pro 5 next year? : The much rumored Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 release may finally happen next year. The Redmond-based tech giant may unveil the new smartphone alongside the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 in February.
Reliable German Windows-centric website Dr Windows reported that it has received "concrete evidence" that HP is working in partnership with Microsoft in making a powerful Windows 10 smartphone.
The website also said that the new Microsoft Surface Phone is the rebranded Lumia handsets and will come with Lumia's best features such as ClearBlack screens, Glance and more.
There are reports claiming that Microsoft announced a smartphone internally that is to be released in February 2017. This has sparked rumors that the smartphone will be released alongside the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 tablet-laptop hybrid.
it is also being speculated that the two new devices may be announced at the Mobile World Congress 2017 or at a different event.
Microsoft very recently announced the new Surface Studio and Surface Book i7 at the Windows 10 event on Oct. 27 expanding its Surface family.
There is no official announcement about Microsoft Surface Phone release date or specs yet from the company.
