Verizon To Release Microsoft Lumia 735 With 4G LTE On June 11

Initially, the long-rumored Lumia 735 was expected to be sold by Verizon in the U.S. with a "Nokia" brand name. As it turns out, the device has apparently gone through a name change and now it is referred as "Microsoft Lumia 735" under Verizon, notes GSM Arena.

In November 2014, Verizon's Microsoft Lumia 735 apparently made a visit to the FCC site. But then, the device was never made available for the general public. However, according to a fresh report, Verizon will be offering the handset starting June 11, 2015. Based on the report from Windows Central, Verizon's Lumia 735 will apparently support 4G LTE and CDMA. In addition, it is believed to run on Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 OS.

Microsoft Lumia 735 Specifications

As far as the key Lumia 735 specifications go, the handset will reportedly come with a pocket-friendly 4.7-inch OLED display, packed with 1,280 x 720 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, the device is believed to be powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) processor, running at 1.2 GHz and backed by a modest 1 GB of RAM unit.

When it comes to memory configuration, the Lumia 735 will apparently come equipped with 8 GB of built-in storage capacity. In addition, there will also be a microSD card slot for further expansion. Moving on to the camera specification, the smartphone will sport a 6.7 MP rear-facing unit with Carl Zeiss optics and an f/1.9 aperture. Plus, the primary camera apparently comes with a LED flash.

Furthermore, there will also be a full HD 5 MP front-facing shooter for selfies with a wide angle f/2.4 sensor. In the meantime, Windows Central says, the aforementioned Lumia 735 specifications were leaked by an unnamed credible source. In any case, readers should note that, Microsoft has not confirmed the specifications so far.

Even though, the Lumia 735 price has not been reveled by Verizon thus far, the smartphone has reportedly been released in selected countries and one such region is the UK. The price specific to the U.K.'s Carphone Warhouse is 159.95 British pounds ($244.44).
