Windows 10 is the latest software released by Microsoft. Despite the hype, only a few hardware devices are ready to accept the software, including the Lumia devices. However, HTC has decided not to include Windows 10 Mobile on the HTC 10 variant.
A few days ago, there were rumors that HTC could be planning to build a Windows 10 Mobile device. Ruling out the possibility, famous industry leaker Evan Blass wrote on Twitter that there won't be any iteration of the HTC 10 based on Windows 10 Mobile.
The Taiwanese company has decided to run Android software on its smartphones, instead of opting for Windows 10 Mobile OS. If you are still looking for a Windows 10 powered device, Microsoft's Lumia 950 and 950XL are the best choices. Another device from HP is also running the latest Windows OS, which was announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) last month, reports GSM Arena.
From its first look in a leaked teaser at the MWC, the HTC 10 showed striking similarities with Apple's iPhone devices. Except for the home button, the rest of features with regards to looks are the same, states Thenextweb.
With success in the smartphone business, HTC is now looking to penetrate into new areas such as the virtual reality business with the HTC Vive. Within a few minutes of its launch, the HTC Vive recorded more than 10,000 pre-orders enabling Vive makers to earn a whopping $12million in revenue.
If you look in the past, HTC has always preferred naming its products HTC One M9, M8 and M7. But this time, the tech company has decided to veer away from its traditional naming scheme and christen the new device, HTC 10. Engadget reports that the upcoming device will be released in mid-April, and will go on sale as soon as early to mid-May.
