The Android and iOS versions of WhatsApp have been enjoying the new document sharing functionality since the past few weeks, and it's now time for Windows Phone users to take advantage of the same. This feature has arrived via the latest update to the popular messaging app, which has also brought with it a video trimmer.
It must be noted that only PDF documents can be shared by users over WhatsApp. The makers of this utility still haven't made it possible for Microsoft documents to be sent by users, even on Android and iOS platforms. In fact, when someone tries to share a Word file or an Excel file, it automatically gets converted into a PDF.
The video trimmer is a feature that has arrived extremely late on Windows Phone. It allows you to choose just a part of a video, rather than sending the entire clip. This new ability is accompanying a video compressor which too was recently introduced on the Windows Phone version of WhatsApp to ensure that you can send much longer videos than before.

Recently, the Android version of this messaging utility was blessed with the ability to write in bold and italics. While this functionality is still to reach the iOS version, it has its own new features to boast of. A fresh option on Apple devices running WhatsApp allows users to choose what incoming media they want to store in their phones based on particular chats or groups.
Coming back to the new WhatsApp for Windows Phone update, it is now live on the Windows Store and can be downloaded by those with compatible devices.
