Windows 10-based Microsoft phone coming in April 2017

Microsoft's Mobile phone market struggles are now likely to come to an end, as the company, after witnessing this painful struggle is probably working on a plan to shut down the Windows Phone and the Windows 10 Mobile divisions.

If you purchase a Microsoft Lumia 950XL in US then you will get a Lumia 950 for free. Designed specifically for the Surface 3, Microsoft says that once you slot the tablet in, it will become a "full desktop PC [with] all the ports you need, so you can attach a monitor, keyboard, printer and more".

Currently, the offer is available to Lumia 950 and 950 XL buyers in Canada. Created to protect against modern security threats, the Lumia 650 keeps both personal and company data secure with features including device encryption and device wipe. However, there is a section that believes that the promotion may be a result of the poor sales of the Lumia handsets. Reports say that Microsoft has only sold 2.3 million Lumia devices compared to the 8.6 million handsets they sold previous year. In fact, such rumors date back to even before the tech titan acquired the smartphone business of the Finnish company Nokia, including the Lumia smartphones.

Microsoft often seems to avoid permanent price cuts on its hardware wherever possible, instead favoring promotional discounts on most of its devices every few weeks - but sometimes, these deals last a lot longer.

Quoting analysts, the report stated that the new processor may possibly be built on Samsung's 10nm FinFet process and in combination with 8GB RAM.
