Last week, Microsoft started offering a sweet deal for those looking to purchase a Lumia 950 Windows 10 Mobile device. The Redmond-based company was offering a free Lumia 950 (Black) with the purchase of the Lumia 950 XL but the offer has now ended due to limited supply.
Some anlaysts have started raising questions over Microsoft's commitment to Windows Phone, claiming that Microsoft's mobile efforts are dead. Last week, Microsoft's Terry Myerson sent email to employees reconfirming support for the mobile efforts of the company.
"I understand that you are hearing concerns from certain partners about Microsoft's commitment to the mobile space. Let me be very clear: We are committed to deliver Windows 10 on mobile devices with small screen running ARM processors. We are currently in development of our next generation products and I wanted to reconfirm our commitment to Windows 10 Mobile. We believe in this product's value to business customers and it is our intention to support the Windows 10 Mobile platform for many years. We have a device roadmap to support that from Microsoft as well as our OEM partners who will also be selling an expanded lineup of phone devices based on this platform," Myerson wrote in the mail.
Earlier last week, Microsoft also released Windows 10 Mobile build 14332 to participants of the Windows Insider program. This build fixes several issues that have been plaguing users since the previous build.
Some reports claim that Windows 10 Mobile will see a Redstone 2 update in April next year. It is likely that the company will also release the Surface Phone at the same time.
The tech giant also released new Cumulative Updates for the Release Preview ring on Windows 10 Mobile this past week.
