Developer Submission: AllTube Player Uni Gets Background Media Download And Audio Play In Latest Update

AllTube Player (ATP) Uni is one of the most comprehensive music and video app on Windows 10. It allows you to search for and play media easily from the four of the most popular audio and video websites using its global search engine.

Most of our users have asked for background download and audio play since the Windows 8.1/Windows Phone 8.1 version. We're glad to inform all that the last two updates focus on this. The latest version is 4.6.2.

Media download will now be done in the background. If there is any system resource constraint, it will revert to foreground download. Notification is displayed to inform user about the start and end of the download.

When user plays the audio from YouTube or SoundCloud, it will now be played in the background. Audio downloaded from these two channels can be added to local playlist for offline playback. Tap/click on the audio in the playlist and it will be played in the background, one after another. Use the OS universal volume control (UVC) to control the audio playback.

Downloading and audio play in the background allows user to do other things like browsing the Internet or check their email without any worry that the operation will be stopped or suspended.

The app will be on sale for three days and the in-app prices will go for USD2.49 (currently pending pricing update certification) instead of the normal USD3.99.
