Microsoft Lumia 750: What Could Have Been

Technology By Staff Reporter | November 9, 2016

The Lumia brand would soon phase out as the last models were unveiled over a year ago and there seems to be no more models in line.

So, what happened to the Lumia 750 and Lumia 850 which were expected to be released last year?

It looks like both these devices have been axed out. The Lumia 750 was supposed to sport a 5-inch 720p display, similar to the Lumia 650.

It was also planned to come with some smaller bezels surrounding its display, making it a far better looker than the Lumia 650.

The Lumia 750, if realized, would have been a powerful device with its Snapdragon 410 processor. It was also supposed to come with a 2650 mAh battery with 1GB RAM, 8GB expandable storage and 8MP rear and 5MP front camera.

The Lumia 750 sounds like a pretty good device so it's baffling why Microsoft would cancel the release. It just may be that the company wants to shift its focus to creating Surface Phones from here on.
