A couple of days back, images appeared on the tech world of a stylish, sleek, unannounced Windows phone. The pictures were published by Evan Blass (@evleaks). The device featuring "a laptop class intel processor" was said to be in the process of development by Dell Inc (NASDAQ:DELL).
The new unannounced Windows phone was referred to as a combined effort by Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) and Dell, who have collaborated together to manufacture a new product dubbed as "Dell Stack." Originally, Stack was framed as a 6.4-inch device sporting Full HD resolution to fulfill the needs of notebook, desktop and tablets users in a single device. Combined with Continuum features of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) from the Windows 10 Mobile, the device offers a power-packed hardware.
Continuum feature allows users to connect their phones to device sporting a larger display, which can be controlled and monitored using a keyboard and a mouse. With the availability of Stack, users will be able to carry their everyday digital lives along with them, connecting to larger displays as per needs, with plenty of system resources, and processing power to perform the computing tasks.
The Windows 10 Mobile handset is said to come with an x86 Intel Core M processor, 128GB or 256GB storage, 4GB or 8GB RAM as well as offers, an expansion with microSD slot. And all these goods will be housed in no more than 9mm of body. Due to be launched in the Spring of 2017, there's been no official announcements from the company about the availability further.
Hopefully, Dell Stack will be able to see light down the tunnel sometime soon, either with the current concepts, or with the new products in cue. Well, what is in store for the Windows 10 Mobile, we'll have to wait and watch.
