Microsoft Stops Selling Lumia 950 In Spain

The end nears further. Microsoft's flagship Windows phone, the Lumia 950 has disappeared from its official Spanish store, although customers can still purchase the Lumia 950 XL.

But this follows the news of these flagships no longer being available in the United Kingdom.

And signals that the technology titan is indeed planning to retire the Lumia brand in December, as previous rumors on the matter have suggested. That said, we still do not have official confirmation from Redmond, even as these hints keep on coming.

As reported, the Lumia 950 flagship is no longer sold in the Microsoft Store in Spain, but the XL model continues to be available, as do some other Windows 10 Mobile handsets.

Like the Lumia 650 and the new HP Elite x3.

Which practically is the only hope for someone still looking to get a premium Windows experience on phone, as it can match the best of them in terms of hardware and feature set.

Redmond, though, is focused on clearing inventories right now.

Reports had suggested that the company wanted to sell as many Lumia handsets as possible before the stores ran out of stock — after reportedly having ended production. And it certainly looks like this is happening right now, at least in the larger European markets.

In fact, the source above claims that Microsoft is no longer selling its high-end Lumia phones in several key markets in the Old Continent like France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom.

Of course, until we get an official statement from the company, all this is pure speculation.

For now.
