WhatsApp Download 2.12.107 Free For Android – What’s New?

WhatsApp is in a continuous development, being updated quite frequently on the Android platform. Every new beta version is firstly uploaded to whatsapp.com, then the stable version makes its way to the Google Play Store, but you will surely want to enjoy the latest changes, even if they come with bugs and other issues. If you'll download the 2.12.107 beta version of WhatsApp for Android, you will notice small improvements in terms of performance and enhanced voice calling feature.

The developers of WhatsApp don't like to share their plans for this application, preferring to keep their users in suspense, because they don't want to let them down by promising them the moon in the sky and to sell them illusions. There are 800 million people who are expecting the best from WhatsApp and they're willing to wait until new features are successfully added to this application. The Android users were the first ones to enjoy the Voice Calling feature, which was introduced in February, after being tested by a limited group of fans who were randomly selected. Weeks later, the feature was brought to BlackBerry 10 and iOS and the developers are preparing to release it for Windows Phone as well. But, meanwhile, they're improving the Android version, changing its Material Design, adding or removing visual elements to keep their users' interest level high, to not get bored of the appearance of WhatsApp.

Recently, in one of the beta versions, the changes targeted the voice calling interface – the green background with the name of the person who's calling has been removed, while the vibrant red background for End Call received a new shade – pinkish red. Also, the name of the caller contains bigger fonts and the Material Design UI was decorated with minimalistic icons, the default wallpaper has cooler color tones with subtle and denser outline drawings, the annoying the old fashioned Gingerbread icons have been removed, as well as the Last Seen, but the first characters of a message have been truncated, leaving more space to show the date and time when the conversation took place.

More changes will come in the near future, and we're keeping an eye on the new beta versions that will be released in the following days. Remember that you have another feature called WhatsApp Web, which allows you to chat from your computer, using one of these three browsers: Opera, Firefox or Chrome. You will need to go to web.whatsapp.com and scan the QR code with your phone's camera, but while you're chatting on your PC, you need to run WhatsApp on your smartphone.
