So when Microsoft announced the Lumia 650 without the much sought after feature, it indeed disappointed many who would have been prospective buyers of the same.
Laptops that can also be converted into a tablet, tablets that can be converted into a laptop and phones with the help of Continuum Display Dock can be converted into mini laptops.
Microsoft has been trying to get owners of the Android and iOS devices to make the change to the Microsoft Lumia 950. One of the biggest surprises with the Lumia 650's launch however, was that it doesn't feature the most notable feature of Windows 10 Mobile - Continuum - which allows users to connect the smartphone to a display and use it as a Windows 10 computer with a desktop-like interface.
"Microsoft introduced a promising direction with Windows 10 mobile OS with Continuum feature and we hope to bring more productivity to Windows 10 smartphones with NexDock" said Emre Kosmaz, founder of Nex Computer LLC, "You can also get more productivity with NexDock with the smallest PCs, tablets to transform them the most affordable laptops and it is only the first step to our vision". The company mentioned in its official blog that the device would be packed with security features and cloud storage integration to increase user productivity. Obviously, hardware requirements posted Continuum page discards Lumia 650 compatibility, but the software giant could have done something to make it work, especially if they are targeting business users.
