Windows 10 Mobile Release Might Start February 29th

While it hasn't officially confirmed a release date right now an update from Microsoft Mexico might have let slip that Windows 10 Mobile release will take place on February 29th.

With the potential release date a little over a week away, we shouldn't have to wait too much longer to see if this date finally holds true for Windows 10 mobile release for older devices. The device has been one which has been under a lot of criticism lately, and has been a device which was expected to be the last Windows 10 mobile under the "Lumia" branding.

This week, Microsoft unveiled the new Lumia 650 Windows 10 smartphone with an emphasis on business users.

The company said the update will be available to virtually all smartphones that run Windows Phone 8.1, but listed a selected few that will first get the latest operating system.

Redstone's Continuum support news surfaced from a German site titled Winfuture, which claims to have information deriving from PC manufacturing sources that can attest to several feature additions that should appear in the Windows 10 Redstone release. Laptops that can also be converted into a tablet, tablets that can be converted into a laptop and phones with the help of Continuum Display Dock can be converted into mini laptops.

More customization and configuration features for Continuum are also expected, so it's very clear that Microsoft's banking on this side of the Lumia smartphones. Even with a 1GB RAM, it may not have complaints regarding phone lag that most smartphones present. It packs 16GB of built-in storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 200GB).
