Messaging Everywhere On Windows 10 And Windows 10 Mobile: First Visuals

The Anniversary update is coming to Windows 10 in this July 2016. Because it's all part of Microsoft's 'Windows 10 as a service plan, ' to make sure everyone is singing from the same page in their version of the future.

"This list includes a limited set of Windows Phone 8.1 devices and does not include some devices that are now running Windows 10 Mobile in the Windows 10 Mobile Insider program".

As Neowin reported, Windows 10 Mobile already supports the unreleased Snapdragon 830 processor, which could be a sign not only that Microsoft is expecting partners to release more powerful devices, but also that the company might actually prepare its own workhorse featuring this chipset.

Instagram still has a Windows 10 (Beta) app out, but that app has yet to be acknowledged by the firm and is yet to reach an acceptable level of performance.

The Messaging Everywhere feature uses your Microsoft Account to sync conversations to the cloud, and beam them to which-ever device is requesting them. Well, it just got a little bit better by now allowing your device to work with USB ethernet adapters.

Latest reports suggest that this will improve the functioning of not just Notification Center, but also Cortana, lockscreen and Microsoft Edge. This feature will let you to send and receive text messages from your phone directly on your Windows 10 PCs. That capability has been added to Windows 10 Mobile with this build. In addition, for those phones that lack a dedicated camera button, you'll be able to trigger that capability from the lock screen as well. A newer Mobile build is required for this experience to fully light up. You can now set Photo Reminders by taking snapshots of something you need to be reminded about or can use content from select Universal Windows Phone apps to set reminders. Also worth noting is that Microsoft Edge has received updates to copy/paste commands and browser tabs.

The site provides a valuable snapshot of features recently made available, along with those in public preview or still under development and testing, and even those that have been dropped from Windows 10.

Overall, the update can be considered a minor one though it does introduce some significant changes.
