Microsoft releases tool for converting old software to modern Windows 10 apps

So some of the features may not be available until Microsoft releases the next major update for Windows 10 in the form of Redstone 2, which is expected to be released during the spring months of 2017 according to rumours and sources near the action.

Microsoft published its roadmap shortly after rolling out the first Windows 10 build to business PCs since the OS launched in July 2015.

Another significant feature that the update brings is the alignment of Cortana with the desktop Windows 10 version.

Microsoft has been making their intentions rather clear and has been dropping hints, as the company did not discuss about the Windows 10 Mobile and the Windows Phone devices at all during their Build 2016 event. Users fearless enough to be Windows Insiders can get those changes as soon as they're ready to try out (which may or may not mean they're actually ready to use).

On the other hand, this figure is considerably lower, compared to April 8th 2014, when Microsoft pulled off one of the most controversial conclusions of support in computing history.

That being said, as innovative as the OS was back in the day, it suffers from lack of support and is constantly under threat from vulnerabilities, which should explain why Microsoft is doing everything it can to encourage any and all of its users to switch to Windows 10, which has turned out to be quite exceptional.

Recently available (Features rolled out by Microsoft as of recent times): This includes features like Microsoft Passport and Windows Hello, Device Guard, BitLocker etc and other business features already available on the operating system.

Also listed as still under development are Start menu updates, a way to unlock a PC with a Windows or Android smartphone, and a bunch of features to enhance the usability of Windows 10, including improvements to the Microsoft Passport two-factor authentication system that can use biometrics. That strategy makes sense considering last quarter's numbers - on a constant currency basis, Surface revenue rose 29% annually while Windows Phone revenue plunged 49%. What happens if I want to "nuke" the PC, and perform a clean install of Windows 10?

PC to PC "casting". It will add support for touch-screen monitors and laptop-style docks such as the Nexdock, potentially increasing the range of situations in which it's useful.

Fixed issues with lock screen.

The roadmap also described a "laptop-like accessory support" feature that is now under development.

Cortana also gets chattier, with suggestions for things she can do using the new integration of chat bots, so if you're working late you might see a dialog offering to order dinner or book an Uber for you.

Enhancements to Azure AD Join: unknown now. That information can be found at this Microsoft "Compare Windows 10 Editions" page.

As part of the new Windows update system, new features are first rolled out as Current Branch (CB) releases so businesses can conduct pilot deployments.

Ranieri cries for joy as Leicester near English titleAlberto Moreno hammered home the opener before Bojan headed the equaliser as the Reds were again caught out from a set-piece. Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce said his players had been nervous because of the situation staring them in the face.
