New Insider cumulative update build 14393.67 brings battery improvements to mobile and more

You get an update! You get an update, and you get one too! Over the past eight hours, Microsoft has issued several updates to its Windows 10 operating system. For users on the non-Anniversary Update there was the cumulative update to version 1511 of the OS, for recent upgrades to the Anniversary release of Windows 10 there was cumulative update KB31764965 or build 14393.51.

Now a mere two hours later, Windows 10 Insiders are being issued build 14939.67 for PCs and mobile devices. Windows Insider lead Dona Sarkar alerted Insiders to what she calls the cumulative update build via her twitter account moments ago.

After being directed to the Feedback hub in Windows 10 by Sarkar, we find that this new decimal bump brings two additional fixes that the general release of build 14393.51 did not include.

Addressed the issue that causes significantly reduced battery life on Windows Phone when using Bluetooth "Hey Cortana" feature enabled.

Addresses issues that prevent users from completing the out-of-box experience (OOBE) with a local account using Korean characters.

So, it would seem the latest update not only address some of the PC issues that came with today's earlier release of build 14393.51 but also tosses in a rather big fix to Windows Phones using "Hey Cortana".

We'll have to test the battery claims from the Windows team in due time, but until then, head over to the Update Settings page on your any of your Windows 10 devices to pick up one of the several updates that have come down the pipe today.
