According to All About Windows Phone, an image from a Galaxy S8 presentation points to Samsung adopting Windows 10's Continuum, a 2015 feature that allows Windows phones to connect seamlessly to a monitor for a desktop-like experience.
The presentation slide states apart from connecting to a monitor, the feature will also allow users to hook a mouse and keyboard to create an 'extended workspace'. And what's more, the slide suggests you can also use your phone independently while its connected to th e multi-windowed desktop.
This is not the first time Samsung has tried to integrate a desktop experience into its phones. It made an attempt with its SideSync initiative that allowed users to run a virtual form of the phone on a PC.
Samsung's flagship is slated to release during the Mobile World Congress in February. If rumours prove to be true, it may come with a bezel-less screen and its own AI-powered digital assistant made by the co-founder of Apple's Siri. There is also whispers about Samsung integrating its Galaxy Note lineup with the Galaxy S phones and release a 'Plus' variant of the Galaxy S8 replete with the S-pen and all.
As is the tradition before every big launch, the internet is rife with rumours of all kinds. And since Samsung is refusing to divulge any details about the Galaxy S8, we recommend you to take all the rumours with a pinch of salt.
