Microsoft Surface Phone launch delayed, software not ready

The rumoured Microsoft Surface Phone is something which many tech enthusiasts would love to see happening but it just won't be taking shape this year. Microsoft also unveiled a virtual reality head set titled the HoloLens, a phone titled the Lumia 950, a laptop titled the Surface Book and a biometrics wristband titled the Band 2. Here are the details of the anticipated gadget. The company released Surface Pro 4 in the said month, so if the trend continues then probably consumers have to wait until the fourth quarter of the year.

Specs-wise, the Surface Book 2 will reportedly get similar hardware choices to Surface Pro 5. While this unnamed device will run on Windows 10 and only run apps from the Windows Store, the Surface phone is expected to have a much more universal approach.

In terms of specs, the upcoming device is expected to be powered by Intel's Kaby Lake Core i7 processor.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is supposed to come with a surface dial, cover keyboard and a stylus whereas Apple's iPad Pro 2 is expected to come with a smart keyboard and an Apple's Pencil, but the news is still a hearsay report.

The reason for this delay could be that the Surface Phone is supposed to be a PC in a smartphone and to achieve that it needs to flawless some of its software, reported Learn Bonds. However, readers should take this report with a grain of salt until Microsoft confirmed it.
