WhatsApp for Windows Phones updated with Video to GIF Support with new version

WhatsApp team has been working very hard in improving the app on Windows Phone. The team having released a big update last week has sent out another new update to its Windows Phone app Stable Version.

The app has been updated to new version 2.16.300. The WhatsApp Beta and the Stable version are now on the same version after the recent update.

The latest update to the Stable version has brought a new feature which was tested earlier in the Beta version of the app.

Feature :

  • Now you will be able to convert Video to GIF.
  • Once you select a video to send, you will notice a small toggle or option on the top right corner of the screen similar to on and Off button. This will help you in creating a GIF from a video and vice versa. The GIF button is visible once you move the cursor on the video above 6 sec. Any video you are planning to sent as a GIF has to be more than 6sec, since WhatsApp sends it as a video if its 6 sec or less.

The update is currently live and you can grab it by clicking on the below link. Do let us know if you find anything new apart from the above feature.

Download WhatsApp (Stable Version) for Windows Phone.
