Older Nokia Lumia Users Get The Windows 10 Mobile OS Update

Ever since Microsoft took over the Nokia Mobiles division, the users of the Nokia Lumia phones were anxious that the company might actually focus more on their new age devices, and might overlook the needs of the older users.

Double tap to wake was a feature built-in to Windows Phone 8.1 that allowed you to turn on your phone screen simply by double-tapping it.

About a month back, we reported on how the "Double Tap to Wake" feature could come back to Lumia 950 devices if enough of you expressed your support for it through Microsoft Feedback. The user then just moved the phone from left to right to create the panoramic image. Check out this leaked photograph. All we know at this point is that sometime in the future Microsoft will be implementing "Double Tap to Wake" on compatible devices sometime in the future, presumably on Lumia 950 and 950 XL. However Lumia user can use Lumia Panorama app to take panorama pictures. Of course Windows Insider will get this app first before company roll out this feature to all devices. The company actually announced the Windows 10 Mobile OS update for the Nokia Lumia phones a year ago, and promised that it would release by December.
